Interesting fact about me
Lover of roasting, pickling, & summer tomatoes… (also: dessert after every meal)
About Me
Watched and worshipped Alton Brown, Ina Garten at the tender age of 11. Believes the best part of traveling is the people you meet (and the food, of course). Incredibly curious about New-Nordic cuisine and Scandinavia in general.
Why I Share Meals
Friendship, great conversation over great food (YOUR food). Simple as that. Great drinks can't hurt, either.
Places I’ve Traveled
Recently went to Prague, Salzburg, Berlin and Copenhagen. I think the latter two are my new favorite cities! Caught a terrible case of food poisoning in Spain once...but Barcelona still remains one of the coolest places I've ever been. Looking to plan a backpacking trip next summer, complete with a backpack & all. Can I eat at your place? I'd love to visit Japan. I believe their cuisine is the healthiest and most nutritionally balanced in the world. Dream vacation would probably be traveling to Bali (and/or Iceland, but probably not in the same trip).
What I Read, Watch, and Listen To

A Memory of a Home-Cooked Meal
My Sicilian grandmother makes something called Spiedini- pounded, breaded steak rolled up with prosciutto and provolone. My mom recreated that dish for a birthday once when I was about 8 or 9, alongside a big bowl of Fettuccine Alfredo (my favorite at the time). I still appreciate the thought she put into crafting such a beautiful meal. She also owns the entire Williams-Sonoma cookbook collection. My mom is my cooking idol.

What my meals are like
A typical meal for me is like a jigsaw puzzle: any seasonal produce, protein, starch, and seasonings I can creatively and cohesively fit into a single bowl. If I'm cooking for you, I'll definitely try being more impressive: cheese to start, salads with homemade vinaigrettes, roasted fish, grain salads, and probably something freshly baked for dessert.

Sarah is on top of everything as a host, in addition to being such a charming person to be around. Don't let her modesty fool you, she makes really really good food and pairs everything up so well from appetizer to entree. Her sister was also super nice, so it's clear that it runs in the family. Would dine again A+++++

Great meal and relaxing environment. I don't like the star system personally. Each member of this dinner contributed something to make it a special moment. Thanks to each of you, I enjoyed meeting and sharing a meal with you.

Sarah is super rad. She is down to earth and a very gracious host who made me feel at home from the minute I walked in the door. The cuisine was a three-course Indian-inspired collab with Jay, who is way high on my list of people to kick it with, and hands down the experience was a total highlight of my week. I ate so much that the bike ride home was really slow lol, but it was for sure worth it. Five star night I'm stoked to do again- be sure to meal share with Sarah!

It was a joy going to Sarah's for the meal she prepared. Good 'ol hearty soup/stew to warm us up on the cold, drizzly night, followed by a kickin' salad and a dessert that may just change my father's eating habits (for the better). And her place is the kind of place you want to talk in, converse, sitting or standing, lay it all out. Looking forward to more hang-outs and meals shared!

Sarah's meal experience; awesome. Cool place, easy to get go, delicious 3-course meal. But the highlight was really the host herself. Sarah created a very comfortable atmosphere that put everybody at ease and resulted in some great stories coming out. She's easy-going, friendly, and kind. Sharing a meal with Sarah in her home would easily be the best thing you did all week. Seven thumbs up.

Sarah was a delightful host! She handed me a perfectly mixed Last Word as soon as I entered her lovely home (score!) and made a delicious shakshuka for dinner. Her warm friendliness is contagious (and probably the reason she's garnered so many job offers ;). After meeting her super sweet sister, we ended the night with a heavenly warm peach galette. I'm looking forward to attending another mealshare with Sarah!
