Bruce and Monika are such great company! We had the opportunity to share two full days preparing for our cooking lessons. We spent one whole day at the markets and one day cooking and having a great conversation around the kitchen table surrounded by friends and all my pets. Meal sharing is a great way to socialize with interesting people and this is what we did today. Nice meeting them!

So glad I finally got the opportunity to attend Bruce,s world famous Sashimi Mealshare and introduce my friend Stephanie to her 1st Mealsharing experience. What a great choice! The dumplings, salad and Sashimi were all fantastic topped off by an absolutely magnificent homemade green tea ice cream. Bruce and Casey are fantastic hosts and along with Monika, Nikki and Feihong made for a fun, interesting and funny evening. I sure look forward to sharing more meals with this group, A+ Mealsharing experience!

I'm really glad that Bruce and Monica came to my farewell mealshare so that I had a chance to say goodbye. Bruce may not know it, but his mealshares helped to inspire me to try cooking more challenging dishes in my own kitchen. And I cannot thank him enough for introducing me to the most insane fireworks party that I've ever seen. That was truly memorable!

I should have done this so much sooner! Bruce and his co-hosts (Monica and Casey) were very welcoming and definitely did a great job. We started off with gyoza, asian salad with miso ginger dressing (thanks for the recipe) then off to various sashimi and his signature flourless chocalate cake! Everything was delicious but his cake takes the cake (pun intended :)). Thanks also for the numerous restaurant suggestions. Definitely need to try them all out.

This was my first Meal Sharing experience, and as such, it was outstanding. Bruce is a wonderful host, the group that gathered was lively and fun. Stories were shared, as well as wine. The meal was light and refreshing on this hot & muggy evening. Dumplings to start, crunchy salad with zingy ginger miso dressing, then cool slices of several types of fish served with rice, daikon threads, wasabi, pickled ginger and soy. Lovely. To top off a fantastic light meal: Bruce's signature dense flour less chocolate cake with fresh berries. Yum. While the meal was BYOB, sake was generously poured by the host. Bruce also offered coffee & a selection of tea with dessert. I had to cut out a little early due to work obligations, but what a wonderful experience! Will definitely do this again! Thank you, Bruce!

Yum! This was a fun, easy-going night with great potstickers, salad (great homemade ginger dressing!), delicious sashimi and Bruce's own flourless chocolate cake. It was fun to chat with everyone and really neat to learn more about Bruce's new cake biz!

Mmmmm, white tuna. I will never be the same again. My sashimi experience at Bruce's has transformed me or rather I have blossomed into a sashimi lover. No longer will I pass by that naked unwrapped delightful piece of fish because I'm no longer on a roll trip. Oh, where was I. Bruce is a fab host along with his side kick Casey they served the ultimate sashimi experience. Then came the sake and along came the stories. Whew! A sashimi, sake, storied adventure topped with chocolate flourless cake. What more can a hungry girl ask for on a rainy Wednesday night. Thanks for sharing your home, your food (yummy white tuna), your guest and those fab stories. Oh, I'm enjoying that oh so delicious flourless cake with my morning coffee while writing this review. This cake can make you write strange things. Lol.

It was a delight to have Bruce and Monika over for the fundraiser potluck. They brought Crab cakes with salad. I had no change to get a crab cake, as they where gone in no time but I had the salad. So flavorful and tasty. Bruce also donated a lot of ingredients for the fundraiser I run for the orphanage and they bought Christmas cookies too. Thank you both for your open heart. I hope we can share a ton of good food together in 2016.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bruce this week, both as a guest and as a host. He definitely made an effort to put me at ease my first time hosting, and I was very appreciative to have the familiar kind face at the table. He may have also changed my life with stories of round parchment paper! I look forward to dining with Bruce again.

Some of the most delicious, savory, rich, and fresh food i've ever had the pleasure of trying. I loved everything about Bruce's apartment. Amazing vibes from everyone at the dinner. I would so highly recommend Wednesday night sashimi to anyone who likes any kind of sushi. It was such a treat. The Miso dressing on the salad was some of the best i've ever had, and the dessert was the perfect way to top off all the sashimi I could eat and more. 5 out of 5 stars for sure. I can't wait to go back because Bruce really takes pride and you can tell he loves cooking and having people over.

I had a great time at Bruce’s Wednesday Night Sashimi dinner! Bruce was a very gracious host and it was great to finally meet an “ultra meal sharer”. Dinner was delicious (thanks for sharing the recipes so that I can recreate the delish salad and amazing green tea ice cream!) The Cupcakes Jessica brought (from “B*tch Loves Bak*ng” by Tracy) were a really nice surprise. The salted caramel cupcake was was delectable! Everyone was really friendly & down to earth and I enjoyed getting to know some more meal sharers. It was a lovely evening and a great way to spend a Wednesday night in winter.

What can I say, Bruce outdid himself again. What a delightful meal. There was so much good food and it just kept coming. I could not make the chocolate cake at the end because I was soon full, but Bruce was so nice and we could take our pieces home, what a joy. I am telling you don't miss out on an opportunity to dine with this master

Bruce is a warm, attentive host and an overall great guy. His hospitality rules all as he creates delicious and scrumptious meals. Turkey with all the fixin's, Sashimi, Waffles and his famous Eden's Flourless Chocolate Cakes, Bruce knows no limits. And in closing; the words of Bruce's all time favorite Chef Julia Child, "I fell in love with the public, the public fell in love with me, and I tried to keep it that way." Julia Child

This was such a blast! Thanks so much Bruce for sharing your home and serving a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. This was my first time attending a meal share event and I had the opportunity to meet interesting people, have great conversation and share in the festivities of a day where we all truly have something to be greatful for. AND we got to enjoy Bruce's famous Flourless Chocolate Cake - Yum Yum!!

Thanks so much Bruce for a great Thanksgiving mealshare for many of us who were new to Chicago and mealsharing! We had plenty of time to get to know each other while you and Casey prepared a fresh, brined turkey and so many great sides! We relaxed with wine, cheese and snacks, and hot cider while an ABC camera crew filmed and interviewed many guests. Everyone was fun, welcoming and diverse. I felt like I was part of a family by the time we watched the segment on the news. The meal was great and I was happy I saved room for dessert; pumpkin pie and Bruce's amazing almost flourless chocolate cake with HOMEMADE vanilla ice cream! I had laughed so much and had such a genuinely good time with great people and food I couldn't believe that 7 hours had passed. Good luck as your chocoate cake goes public Bruce and I hope you continue to mealshare because I'll be back, I hope to host and see many of these lovely people again!

Sunday Brunch at Bruce's was wonderful. He made his waffles from scratch and they had pearl sugar in them that made them taste wonderful. Sunday Brunch at Bruce's was simply wonderful. He made his waffles from scratch and they contained a secret ingredient (Belgian pearl sugar) that made them taste soooo yummy. The fruit was nicely presented and the homemade whipping cream added a lovely finishing touch. Bruce goes completely out of his way to please his guests and puts his heart and soul into his cooking. I believe he is headed towards being an All Star Host of Mealsharing. I will definitely sign up again for future meals!

Bruce hosted my first mealshare, and now I am hooked! Bruce creates a relaxing atmosphere, and his cooking was impeccable. The hot and sour soup hit the spot especially on a chilly October evening. As a first-timer to mealshare and a newcomer to Chicago, Bruce's homecooked meal made me feel like I had come to just the right place. I shall return--I have yet to try Bruce's famous flour-less chocolate cake!

I love going to Bruce's mealshare events. He's so laid back and the atmosphere is so relaxing at his place- it's just like eating with your friends. Not to mention that he baked his own brioche for his french toast! How cool is that?

Many restaurants tout "homecooked" quality food, to imply that this is better than regular "restaurant" food. I've never had a better quality meal in a restaurant than the meal I enjoyed at Bruce's last night. From the absolutely delicious spicy octopus salad to the incredible ratatouille, the best crab cakes outside of Baltimore's inner harbor, and the decadent gluten-free chocolate cake...every bite was a delight for the palate. Beyond that, Bruce himself is a relaxed, gracious host. Mealsharing with him is something not to be missed.

Bruce did a phenomenal job with the meal. The salmon was excellent as it was coated with pesto and grilled to perfection with a wood-charcoal grill. Smoky yet very flavorful. The heirloom salad was fresh and very tasty. Bruce wrapped things up with fried bananas, caramel sauce and homemade ice cream. A perfect ending to a terrific meal. I recommend sharing a meal with Bruce soon. He indicated he will be hosting on a regular basis.

While Bruce has come to a few of my meals, I was so excited to try his food! And i was not disappointed! The cake one of the best I have ever had EVER, it was rich and creamy. The fondue and mussels were also superb but that cake...takes the cake!!!! Can't wait for more cake!

I must say, it was great to finally enjoy a mealshare on my home turf! I hadn't eaten fondue in ages, but Paul's cheesy sauce was enjoyably creamy and went well with the bread and fruit. The mussel sauce was very flavorful and I cannot possibly complain about the mussels themselves (hats off to Jessica for giving me the rest of her mussels). And, last but not least, the flourless chocolate cake was fabulous! It was so good I almost wished I'd eaten fewer mussels so I could have another slice. Paul and his roommate were super friendly and hospitable, and we even went bowling together after the meal. To top it off, I bowled my best game ever!

Bruce is the man! He was a lot of fun to be around and seems like a friend to all. He had such a good spirit about him all night and was cracking jokes throughout. "What's the difference between a porcupine and a BMW?" Haha. If you're stumped, just ask him. Otherwise, thanks for the ride on your motorcycle and can't wait for your first mealshare!
