Interesting fact about me
Sometimes someone has to take the first bite...
About Me
I thrive on creativity - through music, thinking about new ideas, or through food and cooking experiments. Sometimes the outcomes may be unpredictable, but my enjoyment comes through the creative process.
Why I Share Meals
Just a chance to meet new people and have new experiences. I really want to hear completely different perspectives on cultural and political issues affecting people, and there isn't a better way than dining with someone from a different country.
Places I’ve Traveled
I've been to the NE, the South where I'm from originally, out west to SLC, Yellowstone, and all up along the Atlantic Ocean. I'd really like to go out of the US to Europe, East Asia, and the Pacific islands.
What I Read, Watch, and Listen To
Louie, Breaking Bad, Psycho, Drive, Deerhoof, Tinariwen, Stravinsky, Ravel, Andriessen
A Memory of a Home-Cooked Meal
Probably the best memory is when my friend, who is half-Bengali and half-Japanese, had his parents cook my friends a meal. It was crazy good! While eating we listened to Classical music and Jazz, and got to hear all these stories from his dad about medical school.
Who I’d Like to Have a Meal With
Not to sound pretentious, but probably Dali or Kahlo, because I would enjoy to hear what makes them tick.

Was great meting Jonathan again at Clair's. It is always a pleasure to share a meal with him.

It was nice to meet Jonathan again, it is just a delight to share a meal with him.

He basically has the best-timed subtle jokes. And the dude is super smart, with interests ranging from music to medicine. Great guy to talk to.

Jonathan was a polite guest to have! He was really respectful of my time, effort, and space, and got along well with all of my other guests. I wished I could have talked with him more. Hopefully we'll have a chance to Meal Share again soon!

Jonathan is very sweet and polite. He came to my slider flight meal and he is definitely someone you want to have at your dinner table. I was quite impressed that he knows about the difference between a east coast and a west coast oyster. The dinner proceeded quite pleasantly with this kind of random fact conversations. I totally look forward to sharing a meal with him again!

Jonathan is a very lovely guest. He was at my first meal share. He is very easy going and fun to talk to. Having him at your table will make the conversations just so much fun and you want that they never end. I am looking forward to go to one of his meal shares too and I feel already like I would be at home. Thank you Jonathan

Jonathan was fun to mealshare with! We went to a homemade pizza night at his friend john's house, and we all played an awesome game of Uno. Recommend for a mealshare!

Jonathan is so kind and a great person to talk to. He is very happy and excited to be in Berlin and really soak up any experience he can get during his time here. I was so happy to have him here as a guest and even more happy to have met him. Thanks so much for comin' by! :)

Jonathan was kind enough to have me over for a scrumptious brunch -- he made a beautiful quiche, we drank mimosas, laughed about a variety of topics (though it always seemed to come back to Scientology) and I got to meet the extremely affectionate Mr. Rochester (his roommate's cat). I highly encourage anyone equipped with humor and taste buds to share a meal with him.

Jonathan is really cool. I met him while traveling in Chicago and he was very nice. He has a great sense of humor and we were making jokes all the time. He also knows good music, so make sure you ask him about that. He can tell where to go see good music shows around Chicago. I didn't have enough time last time, but I will mealshare with him in the future for sure. I've heard really good things about the food he makes!

Wow! Jonathan is extremely talented in the kitchen. I recently enjoyed some of his cooking - I never eat lamb, and his was incredibly tasty! The dinner was filled with laughter and conversation. A great evening indeed. I highly recommend sharing a meal with him if you get a chance!

Jonathan's meal was super creative. He hand made all of the jams and butters. The freshest brunch I have EVER had in my life. So tasty. My friend and I couldn't stop talking about it for weeks. Super creative in the kitchen and in life. He has awesome tales about working in the operating room at hospitals. Hope to meal share with you soon. Thanks for everything! Especially the pistachio butter :)

It was pretty awesome. Jonathon has a huge stockpile of knowledge about interesting stuff, but is nicely relaxed about it. Heard all about his neurosurgeon adventures, crazy piano factories, music... hope to meal share again soon.
