Early Years: Born September 22, 1970, in Manila, Philippines, entrepreneur George Dante M Pineda first learned to cook as a teenager under the guidance of his mother and aunts. "My mom and my aunt Neneng and Uding are great cooks. They all taught me to make simple but delicious filipino food growing up”. In 1991, I came to USA to pursue one of my many dreams. One of which is to create food that is tasteful and food that looks appealing to those who will eat them. Ten years ago, I met Andy and his family (Apple Villa Pancakes Restaurant) and partnered in cultivating my culinary interest. In the Summer of 2012, I decided to enroll to culinary school in Chicago to learn the basics of food preparation, safety in handling food and of course to learn how to cook and enrich my creativity on how food presentation is done. Today, I often travel around the world and experience many food cultures in various countries, cities and locals — I often take advantage when visiting and try as many local restaurants as possible during these trips. With such great opportunity, I have learned so many aspects in food preparation, presentations and all stories behind the food I eat. This site gave me the avenue to explore my creativity through cooking, share what I have learned from various cuisines and meet new friends along the way!
